We have established an economic development team that is going to help establish new businesses as well as providing resources to existing businesses.

The City Council has been inspired by the motivation of our community. We have a representative that attends and gives a report on all of our CCC projects at the City Council meeting monthly.

We have included people of all types of needs in visioning & leadership. Previously uninvolved leaders have emerged from leadership training and were drawn out because of the variety of projects.

We have empowered our local citizens to become involved in shaping their own futures. And we are all accepting that change is OK.

The Canyon Communities Coalition is working with the Riggins City Council to keep communication open and to use all available resources to help with poverty in our area.

WE bought our own bus to take the handicapped and elderly to and from doctor’s appointments in McCall and Grangeville and to help them get to appointments and things in our own community.

Our community is working on economic development, gun club, leadership training. We are having our own leadership training next month. What a wonderful start to a new year.

The Canyon Communities Coalition has a board meeting on December 18 at 5:00 at City Hall. We will be discussing our grant writing training and our status on our projects, and our status on 501c3.

Don’t forget… There is a CABS meeting December 11th at 6:00 at City Hall! Come see if we got our new bus.

Economic Development Team is having a meeting that same night at 6:30. See what our team has planned for us.

Canyon Communities is sending three board members to the Grant Writing Training in Lewiston on Thursday December 13. More on that after the training…

Our 1st annual craft fair was a huge success. All vendors were from our local community.

We’re going strong on our projects and making good progress. Our Craft fair is coming up.

Improving economy, building better partners and communication are our top three action items.
